[citation needed] Readers noted it for its melancholy tone, with one of the main themes of the book being sorrow.   The book is related to magic but the sentiments are also well woven in the world that is all magic or evil. The main character Annev is a real fascinating one created by Justin Travis Call, Annev is the one who can make you laugh or cry in the story because the story is written in such a way that the mode of Annev decides whether the scene would be full of joy or sorrow.
